Christmas
Aside from the New Year's Eve curse (someone always gets sick), the holidays were wonderful. We all had so much fun playing the wii, so much so that Brad and I would put the kids to bed and play just the two of us. We had snow and lots of family around. It was so nice to have Brad home for so long. Gibby got this air popper that he loved so much he screamed in delight. We bought all new shatterproof ornaments this year because we lost so many last year with Beck pulling them off and throwing them. We figured for a couple years until Gibby is older we will just do a no nonsense tree. It works. Every year we go to Brads sister Pattis for Christmas Eve—this is our Christmas Eve pageant, everyone pulls a paper out of a hat that tells you what part you will play. Then you have 5 minutes to find your costume and we act out the nativity. Its good times, this year instead of a white elephant afterwards we did a handmade exchange. We had a survival bracelet, necklace made with dimes, a duct tape hat, necklace and earrings, handmade beads made into a necklace, reindeer poop cookies, a sock puppet, a journal, boomerang, knitted hat, suncatcher, bobblehead, welded sculpture, and gingerbread house kit. It was really fun to see what people made.
