Gille Christmas Eve

We started our Christmas Eve by eating together. Patti always does dinner right! Then we drew parts for the Nativity. Everyone had 5 minutes to put together a costume. Top to Bottom: James—Star, Patti—Angel, Me—Shepherd, Stephen—Narrator, Beckett—Shepherd, Bernard—Haste, Suzzane—Wise Man, Kendra—Wise Man, Chris—Wise Man, Marley—King Herrod, Tanner—Joseph, Linly—Mary, Gibson—Baby Jesus, Hoggan—Innkeeper, Brad—Sheep, Afton—Cow, Brandon—donkey. Then following the nativity we did our handmade gift exchange white elephant style (you can steal the present 3 times then it stops). There were some good ones this year—a handcarved canoe, journal, flower headband, pop top belt, pop top bracelet, glitter hat, solar stove, melted bead bowl, melted bead ornaments, scented body scrub, hotline phone, hotplate/cutting board and homemade bread, longboard, opened book holder, soap sculpture, book clutch purse, cd, and juggling balls. James cracked me up with his homemade christmas album that he actually sang ALONG WITH the song on the cd. That may come back to haunt him! We sure had a lot of fun with the Gilles!
