Annual Gille Pioneer Day Celebration

There was a great turnout for the Gilles' block party. Even Marykay and Bill were up for James' wedding the next morning. All of the neighbors brought their grills down, grilled their own meat and then brought something to share. Afterwards, we all sat around and chatted while the kids rode their scooters and bikes. When it got dark we broke out the fireworks and had our own fireworks show. Its so much more fun when everyone does them together. I am finding though, that Beck is now obsessed with fire and fireworks. I'm going to have to keep an eye on him. Beck also talked Kendra into letting him use her camera and was the family photographer all night. He was hilarious. He took some really good photos of everyone, there were also some artsy photos, and then shots of grass, trees, feet, dogs, and trash.
